Fellas,
Last week I talked about the difference between working out and healing through movement.
And a lot of you wrote back saying it hit home — that you’d never thought about exercise as a way to reset your nervous system or reconnect to yourself.
So today, I want to share what that actually looks like.
Because if you want the truth —
your body isn’t asking for more punishment.
It’s asking for rhythm, for you to release tension, so you can learn how to be present.
For years, I chased intensity.
Heavier weights. More sets. Less rest.
I told myself that if I pushed harder, I’d finally feel better.
But I didn’t.
I just ended up sore, tired, and mentally burned out.
It wasn’t until I started paying attention — really paying attention — that everything changed.
Now, I train differently.
Not softer, but smarter.
Here’s what I’ve learned 👇🏽
1. Movement Should Regulate, Not Agitate You.
If your workouts leave you wired, anxious, or restless — that’s not regulation, fellas.
Try slowing your tempo.
Focus on breath, posture, and control.
You’ll feel your whole system start to calm —
that’s real healing.
2. Don’t Chase Exhaustion, Chase Connection.
Every rep, every stretch, every movement should bring you into your body, not push you out of it.
Be where you are.
Feel the muscle contract, the breath flow, the ground beneath your feet.
That’s awareness.
That’s strength.
3. Move To Release, Not To Prove.
Let go of the idea that movement has to be about performance.
Some days, your body just needs to breathe, walk, stretch, sweat — nothing to prove, just space to process.
Healing movement isn’t about doing less — it’s about doing what your body actually needs.
It’s about tuning in instead of zoning out.
When you train from that place, everything changes.
You recover faster.
You think clearer.
You move through life more grounded.
This isn’t just fitness — it’s reconnection.
And next week, I’m going to take this even deeper — into how we rebuild strength and longevity from the inside out, especially as we age.
Because it’s not about getting older…
it’s about getting more intentional.
