How Your Energy Comes Back

Fellas,

Last week I talked about something a lot of men feel but don’t always know how to name — that quiet drop in energy.

Not the “I need a nap” kind.
The deeper kind.

The kind where you feel like you’re here, but not fully in your life.
Where everything takes just a little more out of you.

And I told you something real:
Your energy isn’t gone — it’s buried under everything you’ve been carrying. Everything you’ve been masking.

This week, I want to talk about how it actually comes back.

Not the hype version…
Not the “push harder, hustle more” stuff…

But the real way energy returns to a man who’s been living in survival mode for too long.

What I’m about to say might sound simple, but it took me years to understand it:

👉🏽 Your energy comes back when you stop abandoning yourself.

And whether we want to admit it or not… most of us have been doing exactly that.

  • Putting everyone first.

  • Pushing through pain because we don’t want to slow down.

  • Ignoring our bodies because “we’ve got responsibilities.”

  • Carrying emotions we never talk about.

Over time, that’s what drains you.
Not age. Not weakness.
Not lack of motivation.
It’s the abandonment of self.

So how do we come back to ourselves?

Here’s what actually shifted things for me — the practices that restored my energy in a real, sustainable way:

1. I started paying attention again.

Noticing tension.
Noticing when my chest got tight.
Noticing when I felt drained before my day even started.

Awareness doesn’t fix everything…
but it stops you from going another 10 years on empty.

2. I moved with intention, not ego.

Not every workout needed to break me down.
Some days, my body needed slow, mindful movement.

And those days — the “easy” days —
were the ones that actually brought me back to life.

3. I created quiet moments on purpose.

Not long meditations. Not complicated routines.
Just moments where I was still enough to hear myself again.

Your nervous system can’t recharge if it never gets silence.

4. I stopped holding everything in.

Energy disappears fast when everything stays bottled up.
You don’t have to spill your whole life story…
but you do need spaces where you can speak freely and just be yourself.

Here’s the honest truth:

Getting your energy back isn’t about doing more.
It’s about doing something different.

It’s about choosing practices that restore you instead of drain you.
It’s about coming back to your body with honesty instead of force.

And when you do that consistently — even for a few minutes a day —
the energy comes back.
Not in a rush.
Not overnight.
But steadily.
In a way you can depend on.

Next week…

I’m going to talk about something every man over 40 needs to understand:

Longevity is built in small daily choices, not big heroic moments.

We’re going to break down what actually keeps you strong as you age —
and what steals that strength without you even noticing.

If this message resonated…

If you saw yourself anywhere in these words…
I want you in the space I’m building.

A space where men can breathe.
Where we talk about what’s real.
Where we build strength from the inside out — together.

This space is needed now more than ever.
